Author bio

Voices of Ha Giang is a series of Voice Gems created during a British Council-funded residency in Vietnam’s Ha Giang province. It preserves intimate dialogues, ancestral stories, and traditional music from the H’mong community—raw, resonant, and deeply human. By amplifying voices often lost to geographic and linguistic divides, the series bridges cultural gaps, transforming private oral histories into collective memory. Viewers are invited to engage with the H’mong not as subjects, but as collaborators, their stories reflecting both cultural diversity and the shared fabric of Vietnamese identity.
